Who's used video on line to promote their clients' brands?

Now that there are so many video sites are out there like Youtube, Metacafe, Videojug etc - has anyone used them to promote their own clients' brands and business? They don't need thousands of pounds to create and the audience is open to all levels of camera work from the sublime to the ridiculous. The amazing thing is that they can help you rank faster in search engines and save you a fortune therefore on paid for promotion Adwords and the like. Any views?

We are looking at this platform more and more for our clients. I agree on their use for driving effective website traffic. I saw a classified site's use of videos the other day and although the quality wasn't great I found I didn't care too much about that, the strong visual and good copy were what I remembered and that's quite refreshing in this plastic-pop type world we live in. Real Ads - Rock!!

An interesting link from Mashable about tools that 'help' with marketing videos on YouTube.

I have started using video marketing on you tube, early days yet but I know from previous viral marketing activities that if you find something that becomes very popular and carries a marketing message with it, the resulting promotion can be quite awesome.

Of course finding the right vehicle is the difficult part and you may try 20-30 odd before dropping on 1 item that really hits the mark

Been using video (and audio) to promote Government Agencies and others for a year or so now - mix of information and education rather than 'marketing'. Still early days but some very interesting results. Also produce a lot of video and audio behind the 'firewall'. ROI is very good. For a number of clients we have built a good regular audience.
