A message to all members of MediaStarz

Hi everyone, well we have two new toys from Ning to play with on the website now. The first is a brand new EVENTS section, which will take over from the current Google Calendar displayed on the site. It's very smart and you can upload any event, invite others, RSVP, add maps, links etc - so go ahead and add any events you know about for the benefit of us all or just your friends, you choose.

The second feature is NOTES, and it's really in its infancy as I populate it with extra pages across the site. The idea for some months now has been to build out the various Groups sections with links, RSS feeds, videos etc making them helpful directories for anyone browsing the site, or needing to refer a friend/client etc to things like the videos of 'Online PR in Plain English' or 'What's Web 2.0' etc. What we've always needed was to have extra pages for people to click through to for more info without the current system's page ending up 10 feet long! This now looks like something Ning have finally been able to supply. So expect a deeper site in the coming months.

Ever onwards and upwards, MediaStarz is growing and it's great to see lots more posts - don't hold back now - feel free to network, socialise, do business, have a joke, promote yourself or your company, be helpful or ask a question. And by all means if there is anything you want covered or incorporated just ask... I know the detachable music player was requested by a number of you and is well liked. Why not upload some of your own music and share it here (just no Black Lace or Tweets - okay!).
